A multi-faceted fitout for this client’s brand new building included 6 classrooms, an outdoor learning area, multiple offices, a meeting room, staffroom and staff meeting area, not to mention custom artwork brought to life in the furniture.

With a blank canvas, Empire was able to provide a functional design layout for the various areas. Utilising Empire’s 2D and 3D modelling service, the client was able to see exactly what the final result would encompass and could make adjustments as required to suit their needs. Empire was able to apply the client’s custom indigenous fabric to selected furniture items for a truly unique solution.

Upon entry, visitors are greeted by a pop of beautiful blue fabric featuring the School’s custom indigenous artwork, brought to life in the Rainbow and Tasmania lounges and Mixx sled visitor chairs.

The Italian-designed Milano meeting table in Young Beech finish and black Workmate mesh chairs present an impressive meeting room along with a custom Eco Shapes credenza in matching Young Beech finish.

Staff offices feature matching Eco Shapes desks with returns, hutches, credenzas, mobile pedestals and coat closets alongside Luna tables and Mixx sled chairs that make up small meeting areas. The Principal’s office boasts a Milano desk and return with contemporary black legs and the all new Hum Elite 2 Ergonomic Mesh Chair – perfect for long days in the office.

The staff breakout room combines soft seating Rainbow lounges, Brissie ottomans and Luna rectangular tables for informal seating, Mixx sled chairs and Axiom tables for more formal seating, as well as another informal area with Tasmania lounges and a Luna rectangular coffee table.

Adjacent to the breakroom is a staff meeting area which features more Rainbow lounges, Konfurb Link tables for placing small individual items or laptops, a larger Luna round table and Citi bench with Mixx sled stools. An Eco Shapes Deluxe Bookcase provides ample storage and presents the same Young Beech finish seen throughout the fitout.

Upstairs, popular Plato student chairs and Grow desks facilitate comfortable and practical learning across six classrooms. Grow desks are height adjustable and can grow with the students while a functional tote tray provides personal storage. Eco Shapes rectangular desks and Flow mesh chairs provide strong and comfortable teacher seating while Satellite Teachers Caddies and Storewell Tote Trollies are versatile for storing teacher resources.

Echo Flip tables with erasable surface tops and colourful and stackable Peekaboo stools present a flexible area for outdoor learning. The tables can be flipped upright and wheeled out of the way if needed while the Peekaboo stools are stackable and wipeable for easy maintenance.
