Customised Comfort

One of Empire’s repeat clients – the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital – required reception furniture and wall coverings in their ICU and Maternity Wards. Empire was able to meet the client’s needs with satisfying results that showcases our ability to supply far more than simple furniture. With a tailor-made reception desk, custom upholstered seating, acoustic paneling and wall coverings, this is a project that features a fitting level of privacy and comfort.

Smooth simplicity & Empire ease

Empire was able to make use of noise-reducing acoustic wall panelling and custom, easy-to-wipe fabric upholstered lounges to turn the ICU reception area into 3 smaller areas providing peace, privacy and comfort. Over in the Maternity ward waiting area, Empire could provide more custom lounges, as well as a beautiful wall covering to suit.

Key Products & Solutions

The ICU waiting area walls were fitted with noise reducing acoustic paneling with the popular (and highly customisable) Tasmania double-seater lounges, Vie chairs and Iruma side tables. Along with a Zippo acoustic divider, this room was turned into multiple smaller, private sections. A tailor-made reception desk was coupled with a small Citi Desk featuring an Elegant Oak top finish to create a perfect nook for the reception staff.

Over in the Maternity waiting area, more Tasmania lounges and Vie chairs were placed for comfortable seating that showcases Empire’s fabric customisability. A wall covering was also provided to suit the fabric of the lounges to create an aura of calm.
