The University of Southern Queensland’s new administration building boasts three levels that accommodate university enquiries, event areas with lounges and conference facilities, staff offices and various meeting rooms.

Visitors are greeted with a stunning lounge area which features various clusters of seating including low and beautiful Nara lounge chairs and Iruma coffee tables, high seating with custom built high tables in Tasmanian Oak alongside timber Arizona and Mixx bar stools, as well as Lola lounges in various colours. Custom shelving was built to showcase various brochures in an effective manner whilst also providing storage.

Following the same aesthetic, the various conference and training rooms feature durable and flexible Tasmanian Oak Unit flip tables on castors which can be grouped together, used individually or stored away when not in use. Zebra mesh back conference chairs provide practical seating and can be linked together for conference settings or stacked when not in use.

Similarly, the large boardroom table consists of multiple Unit flip tables in Tasmanian Oak, grouped together with a hidden mechanism underneath each top that joins the various sections together for a seamless and flat tabletop. Nero black mesh boardroom chairs offer comfortable seating.

Flexible Rainbow lounges are utilised throughout the fitout for flexible, moveable seating alongside small Brissie Robot ottomans. Customised to the University’s brand colours and architect’s specific seat-back shape requirements, we were able to meet the client’s needs exactly.

In a separate reception area, casual seating is available with customised Bega visitor chairs in Mulberry alongside Luna round tables. A large Milano table in Tasmanian Oak turns heads with its architectural leg system in black, perfectly complemented with Safari stools which are made from recycled solid teak.

Staff areas are equipped with Lift Back-to-Back workstations and Connection Extra High Back Task Office chairs.

Outdoors, the Nettie outdoor bench and armchairs along with Cube coffee tables and Pop side tables present practical and contemporary furniture with a breath of fresh air.
