State Library of Queensland (SLQ)
Stately Library Zone
The State Library of Queensland engaged Empire to outfit its 4th floor study and reading zone with 60 electric sit/stand workstations in a back to back layout. Each set of worktops were supplied with power, USB jacks and a data outlet, all accessible via the top of the workstation. Cable snakes kept everything neat and tidy, providing a clean, finished look.
Smooth simplicity & Empire ease
A busy space requires clean lines and a no fuss setup, and Empire was able to deliver this with ease. Use of modesty panels in the back to back desk setup allows for some noise suppression and privacy, while bookcases at the end of rows provide storage for on-the-go items.
Inspired results
The final space created by Empire is clean, easy to use, and singularly task focused for those needing private options for workspaces and other pastimes.
